Project management including leading people and teams of specialist professionals and providing strategic advice in the planning of policy development and often-complex projects.

Managing, preparing and assessing a wide range of resource consent applications, notices of requirements and assessments of effects on the environment reports, submissions on proposed regional policy statements, regional plans and district plans.

Leading consultation and negotiating with government agencies and local government representatives, tangata whenua, key stakeholders, community groups, interest parties and the community at large on a wide range of project and policy development projects.

Development and practical application of legislation and policy documents under the Resource Management Act, Local Government Act, New Zealand Land Transport Act, Reserves Act and the Conservation Act, Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects) Act (EEZA), and the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas.

Preparation and delivery of expert evidence before the Environment Court.
